Urban Landscapes, a hands-on painting class for ages 12-18 will be held 1:30 p.m.–4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13. Randy French will be the instructor. The cost is $30 for both sessions.

Teens will spend a portion of their Saturday afternoon surveying the downtown Joplin area in search of the Urban Landscape they wish to reproduce on canvas. The remaining time teens will learn techniques in canvas preparation, color theory, and perspective.

Class begins on Saturday July 12 and continues Sunday July 13. Students will learn how to paint using a unique technique reminiscent of graphic design.
