Art is on tap at Spiva Center for the Arts

6/5/08

Art is on tap at Spiva Center for the Arts
Spiva Center for the Arts will present "Art on Tap" on Thursday, June 19 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.

Sponsored by Samuel Adams, the 21-and-over indoor/outdoor event is specially designed for a rising generation of art admirers.

"Art on Tap" is an opportunity for young adults who are interested in supporting the arts to enjoy an evening of conversation, art, and music in a hip, urban environment.

"Art on Tap" will showcase three new exhibits—The Return of the Yellow Peril, Nuts & Bolts of Art, and Sneak Peek: Works from the Permanent Collection—in Spiva's downtown galleries.

The event continues outside with live music by the Adam Stanley Project and food provided by Woody’s Woodfire Pizza.

Spiva members age 21 and older are invited to attend, and are asked to make reservations by June 17. New memberships may be purchased in person at the Center, or by calling 417.623.0183. One-year individual memberships are $35. Dual/family memberships are $50.

Spiva Center for the Arts is located at 222 West Third Street at Wall in Joplin. Gallery and Gift Shop hours are Tuesday–Saturday, 10am–5pm, and Sunday, 1–5pm. The Center is closed Mondays.
