Saturday September 11, 8 a.m - 4 p.m.
From Spiva Center reports
9/10/04
Spiva Center for the Arts is holding an Auction, Rummage and Treasure Sale (ARTS) Saturday, September 11, 2004.
Instead of art, clothing, housewares knickknacks, sporting goods, books, compact discs, furniture, toys, and great miscellany will occupy Spiva’s galleries, classroom, boardroom and parking lot.
“The sale takes up the entire building,” Spiva director Jo Mueller said. “The quantity and quality of the items is remarkable. Dozens of families have donated all kinds of items. We’ve been working since last Sunday to get everything priced and ready to go.”
The event begins at 8:00 a.m. Saturday and concludes at 4:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Center and will help fund children’s programming.
The auction of items “too good to go at rummage sale prices” begins at 8:00 a.m. as a silent auction, then goes “live” at 1:30. Live bidding will begin with the highest bid on the auction sheet.
Auction items include a reserved parking pass and four tickets to the Chiefs/Raider game on Christmas day, four tickets to the Warsaw Symphony concert November 5, a professional home teeth bleaching kit from Dr. Mark Woodin, Oakley sunglasses, and antiques (including Tinker Toys in their original box).
