Awesome July classes still to come at Spiva Center!
Encaustic Painting Methods

Beginning Monday, July 18, Kathlene Allie is offering this very special class for painters, photographers, anyone who likes to draw, and people who like to tinker!

From the instant results of a one-of-a-kind metal plate monoprint to fully developed paintings from wax fixed with heat, Encaustic Painting Methods opens up a world of beauty, texture and layers unique to the medium. No prior experience with monotypes or encaustic is required.

Kathlene Allie is an internationally-exhibited encaustic painter who lives in Springfield, MO. Kathlene received her M.A. in painting from Pittsburg State University and has studied encaustic method under Paula Roland in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We’re very fortunate she’s teaching at Spiva!

Ages: High school freshmen through adult
Fees: Members $54; non-members $60
