Spiva Center for the Arts brings Fine Art Exhibit & Sale to the Joplin Holiday Inn May 6 and 7

The public is invited!
...to attend the 2006 PERSPECTIVES Fine Art Exhibit & Sale May 6 and 7 at the Joplin Holiday Inn, 3615 South Range Line Road.
The weekend exhibit showcases fine art paintings, pastels, prints, sculpture, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and fiber work by outstanding artists from southwest Missouri and surrounding states.
The event, sponsored by the art center’s sister organization, the Friends of St. Avips, is open Saturday, May 6, 10am–6pm, and Sunday, May 7, 10am–4pm. Admission is free and artists will be on hand to chat with visitors.
Painting demonstrations by Western Artist Bob Tommey of Carthage are slated both days, from 1-3pm.
This year’s participating artists are Carol Adamec, Jim Bray, Diana Bray, David Burt, Garnet Buster, Barbara Courtney, Tricia Courtney, Marv Dahmen, Lowell Davis, Tom DeCleene, Perry Fleming, Annabelle Fuhr, Greg Huff, Tom Jones, Nick Kyle, Jeff Legg, Pam Leisenring, April Leiter, Dan McWilliams, Mary Margaret Meacham, Patricia Moline, Becky Moore, Margie Moss, Mary Ellen Pitts, Theresa Rankin, Donna Roberts, Mary Ann Soerries, Jack Sours, Bob Tommey, Linda Teeter, Laura VanBuren, and Margaret Roach Wheeler.
A portion of proceeds from sales benefits the programs and exhibits of George A Spiva Center for the Arts.

Spiva Center for the Arts is located at Third and Wall in downtown Joplin. Spiva galleries and Gallery Gift Shop are open Tuesday through Saturday 10am–5pm and Sundays 1–5 pm. The Center is funded through memberships, contributions, and grants. Admission to the Main Gallery is by voluntary contribution.
