Spiva is ready. Are you set to Go?
From Spiva reports
11/21/07
Greetings! Happy Thanksgiving to one & all.
Spiva will be closed Thursday and Friday this week for the Thanksgiving Holiday, but take a look at what's happening when we get back!
Ready… We’ll re-open Saturday, November 24, for the last two days of Joe Beeler’s American West. If you’ve been meaning to take it in, make it happen! The exhibit closes Sunday at 5pm, and by Monday, everything will be moved out to make room for face.africa which opens Friday Nov. 30 along with the 60th Annual Membership Show!
Set… This Saturday is also the first day for the Great Holiday Gift Bazaar! This year’s version is loaded with a variety of fantastic handmade items: sparkling jewelry in every color; hand-dyed silk scarves; fascinating wearable art; a (very) limited edition of MAS 2008 calendars, Mahotans, pottery, paintings, prints and so much more!
... The gift shop has received a new shipment of Cyndee Harvey’s gemstone jewelry. Be sure to stop by soon, before your favorite finds a home elsewhere. (We can take your wish list for interested others, too!) Be sure to check out Trish Courtney’s Buzzlewic coloring books, and autographed copies of Marjorie Schick’s book, “Sculpture to Wear.” Fabulous holiday gifts!
GO… Mark your calendars for Friday, November 30, 5:30 to 7:30pm… the opening reception for the Membership Show, and closing night for the 2007 12 x 12 Auction. What an amazing array of art is in store for you! Be here to bid on your favorite when final bell rings at 7:30, or bid high (very high!) online before 4:30. You could even send a proxy to win your favorite. Anyone can bid, anyone could win!
Spiva Galleries & Gift Shop are open Tuesday through Saturday 10-5; Sunday 1-5. Closed Mondays & major holidays. Admission to the galleries is by voluntary contribution with $2 suggested for adults; $1 for students & children.
