Creamery Writers' Workshop to hear local author and journalist
The Creamery Writers' Workshop has scheduled two well-known writers to speak at its weekly meetings: Sarah Overstreet, local journalist, will speak this Thursday, Aug. 14, and Jennifer DiCamillo, award-winning novelist, will speak on August 28. The workshops are held every Thursday in the Creamery Arts Center from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and are free and open to all writers, regardless of age or genre.

Sarah Overstreet is a graduate of Willard High School and Missouri State University where she majored in English education and minored in art. She was a reporter and columnist at the then Springfield Daily News from 1979 to 1987, then a consumer reporter for KSPR-TV and Public Access Coordinator and talk-show host at TeleCable.
