Stained Glass Theatre Joplin (formerly Stained Glass Theatre West) announces a new name and a new season celebrating its 8th year in Joplin.

The name change symbolizes new growth and their dedication to the Four State area. Stained Glass Theatre Joplin is looking forward to the new season entitled, “Season of Refreshing.” The new season brings a price reduction in all ticket rates including the introduction of a new lower priced children’s ticket. All adult tickets for this season are $5 with an early-bird discount for tickets paid for before 5 p.m. the day of the show, making them $4. In addition, all children ages 13 to 4 will now be $3. Children 3 and under will be admitted free. Group rates will continue at $3 for groups of 10 or more. Season tickets will be $25 and provides a ticket for each production as well as 2 free tickets to be used at any time during the season.

The new season will consist of seven shows rather than the usual six. Opening production is “After God’s Own Heart” opening September 24th and running through October 23rd. It is written by KOBC radio personality Dave Garrison. Mr. Garrison will also be starring in the lead role, and will be directed by Steve Jenkins, currently Administrative Director at Stained Glass Theatre in Ozark, Missouri.

The scheduled plays for this season are as follows:

“After God’s Own Heart” - September 24th through October 23rd

“The Christmas House” - November 12th through December 18th

“In His Steps” - January 7th through February 5th

“The Riverboat Revival” - February 25th through March 26th

“The Healing City” - April 15th through May 14th

“Fathers Anonymous” - June 3rd through July 2nd

“Narnia” - July 22nd through August 20th

To order tickets call the box office at 624-1982. The Box Office will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday beginning September 1, 2004.
